Disneyland calls itself the happiest place on earth, and for the people who make the magic happen, it often is. I know because I was one of them. In the summer of 2003, I worked in Attractions as a ride operator in Fantasyland. I loaded families onto the Storybook Land Canal Boats, kept the lines moving, and watched kids light up when they walked through the gates.
