Legal Services for Injured DISNEYLAND EMPLOYEES

Representing Disneyland Cast Members

When the Happiest Place on Earth Leaves You Injured

Disneyland calls itself the happiest place on earth, and for the people who make the magic happen, it often is. I know because I was one of them. In the summer of 2003, I worked in Attractions as a ride operator in Fantasyland. I loaded families onto the Storybook Land Canal Boats, kept the lines moving, and watched kids light up when they walked through the gates. It was one of the most fun jobs I have ever had, and I have never forgotten what it feels like to wear the name tag and be part of the show.

Today I am a workers' compensation attorney, and I represent the Cast Members who keep that magic running when something goes wrong. Because behind the parades and the fireworks, working at the Disneyland Resort is real, physically demanding work. When a Cast Member gets hurt on the job, the park can suddenly feel like a very different place. My job is to make sure you are protected, treated fairly, and put back on solid footing.

I Understand the Work Because I Have Done It

Representing Cast Members well means understanding what the work actually involves. It is not just characters and ride operators. It is:

  • Attractions operators lifting, loading, and standing for long shifts
  • Custodial and Cast working long hours on hard concrete
  • Foods and Beverage Cast on their feet in hot kitchens and busy quick-service locations
  • Merchandise Cast lifting stock and standing at registers
  • Entertainment and character performers dealing with heat, heavy costumes, and repetitive strain
  • Hotel and housekeeping Cast handling constant lifting, pushing, and bending
  • Maintenance and technical Cast working around machinery and heights

These jobs lead to real injuries. Back and shoulder injuries from repetitive lifting. Knee and foot problems from standing on concrete all day. Slip and fall injuries. Repetitive strain and overuse injuries. Heat related illness during the summer. Injuries from guest interactions. And the cumulative trauma that builds up over months and years of physical work until one day the body simply cannot keep going.

Dealing With Cast Health and the Adjusters

If you have been injured, you have probably already been sent to Cast Health, and you may be dealing with a claims adjuster who does not seem to have your best interests at heart. This is where having someone in your corner matters.

I know how these claims move. I know the adjusters, the delays, and the tactics used to minimize what you are owed. I know how medical treatment gets approved or denied, how utilization review works, and how to fight back when necessary care is held up. And I know that when you are hurt and worried about your job and your income, you should not have to navigate all of this alone.

When you work with me, I handle the paperwork, the deadlines, the phone calls, and the fights with the insurance company so that you can focus on getting better. I make sure you get the medical treatment you need, that your time off work is properly compensated, and that any lasting disability is fully valued when it comes time to resolve your case.

What You May Be Entitled To

California workers' compensation provides important protections for injured Cast Members, including:

  • Full coverage of medical treatment for your work injury, with no co-pays
  • Temporary disability payments while you are unable to work
  • Permanent disability compensation if your injury leaves lasting effects
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel to medical appointments
  • A supplemental job displacement voucher if you cannot return to your old position
  • A fair settlement that accounts for your future medical needs

You do not pay me anything up front. Workers' compensation attorneys in California work on a contingency basis, which means my fee comes as a small percentage of your recovery and is approved by a judge. If there is no recovery, there is no fee.

You Made the Magic. Let Me Look Out for You.

I have stood where you stand, in costume, on the job, part of the show. I understand what it means to be a Cast Member, and I understand what it takes to represent one. If an injury has made Disneyland feel like anything but the happiest place on earth, I would be glad to talk with you about your rights and your options.

There is no cost to talk and no obligation. Reach out and let me help you get back on your feet.
